All Airgami respirators, regardless of size, harness configuration, or color, comply with the following specifications and test measurements.

Outer Shell

USA-made, 100% waterproof, tear-resistant, non-woven polypropylene.

Air filtration media


USA-made, PM0.3, ultra-low-breathing-resistance, electrostatically-charged, meltblown polypropylene.

Meets NIOSH N95 and EU143 and EU159 FFP2 and FFP3 standards even after heat disinfection.

Airgami has many origami folds and tessellations that increase filter surface area to decrease breathing resistance. This reduces hot, moist conditions that typically deter respirator use.

Inner skin-contact layer

Made-in-USA, ultra-lightweight, breathable, natural-polypropylene, spunbond nonwoven fabric for excellent comfort and durability.

Elastic harness

1/8" diameter polyester weave and natural latex elastic core. We are searching for a non-latex elastic and will update this specification when it is available.

Color Color is printed in food-safe inks and only on the outside of the respirator.

Disinfection and packaging Airgami respirators are heated in an oven to 200°F (93.3°C) for 30 minutes prior to hermetic packaging in a polypropylene bag.
Nelson Labs tested Airgami passed Nelson Labs NIOSH N95 pre-certification tests for inhalation/exhalation breathing resistance and particulate penetration. Airgami meets and exceed NIOSH N95 test requirements.
Fit testing Airgami passed N95 fit-testing of multiple test subjects using the OSHA-approved, TSI Portacount 8048 fit tester.

The Airgami mask and its packaging are reusable, durable, and long-lasting.

Airgami rinses in clean water and air dries to stay fresh-smelling.

Every Airgami respirator comes individually packaged in a hermetically sealed polypropylene bag inside a reusable, protective box. The box can be used to store the respirator between uses.

Test Results

Airgami respirators are tested by Nelson Labs in accordance with NIOSH N95 requirements for inhalation/exhalation breathing resistance and NaCl particle penetration.

Airgami respirators are also fit tested in-house using the OSHA-approved TSI Portacount 8048. Fit tests measure how well a mask seals against the faces of a test subject under world occupational conditions.

Following are raw-data results and analysis for each of these tests.

Passes NIOSH N95 Filtering Efficiency Test

Airgami passes NIOSH N95 filtering-efficiency tests as performed by Nelson Labs, validating the filter's ability to remove hazardous infected aerosols, wildfire smoke, air-pollution, pollen, and mold from the air a wearer inhales.

Nelson Labs data show that on average, Airgami filtered > 99.5% of praticles larger than 0.26 microns (26 nanometers), surpassing the NIOSH N95 requirement.

Passes NIOSH N95 Breathing Resistance Test

Airgami passes NIOSH N95 breathing-resistance tests with best-in-class breathing resistance as measured by Nelson Labs testing to NIOSH N95 specifications.

Passes OSHA-approved TSI Portacount Fit Testing

Airgami passes OSHA N95 fit-factor testing. We measure fit factor with the highly-accurate TSI Portacount 8048 particle counter with accompanying particle generator. This is the gold standard and ultimate stress-test of a mask. It determines whether or not a mask seals against a real person's face while they are in motion doing work-related tasks.

Test results prove conclusively that Airgami can remove hazardous aerosols and particulates from inhaled air by creating an airtight seal against the face and forcing inhaled air to first pass through the filter.

Several of the fit-test subjects who had no facial hair or were clean shaven were able to achieve perfect or near-perfect fit-factor scores.
