Test Results

BARDA Mask Innovation Challenge Test Report

Airgami were tested by NIOSH and NIST in September 2022 as part of the BARDA Mask Innovation Challenge. Results show an average particle filtration efficiency of 99.07% and breathing resistance of 4.59 mm H2O, which surpassed the BARDA Moonshot Target Product Profile (TPP).

Passed Nelson Labs Filtration Efficiency Tests

Airgami were tested by Nelson Labs for particulate filter penetration as specified in 42 CFR Part 84 and TEB-APR-STP-0059. The particulate filtration efficiency (PFE) was at least 98.34% and averaged 99.55%.

Passed Nelson Labs Breathing Resistance Tests

Breathing resistance, a measure of how hard it is to breathe through a mask, decreases as the surface area increases. Airgami has a usable filter surface area larger than that of most respirators and masks. Airgami also uses a highly breathable filtration material. Nelson Labs breathing-resistance test shows that Airgami has best-in-class breathability.

OSHA Quantitative Fit Tests

Air99 LLC conducted in-house fit tests using the TSI Portacount 8048 and companion particle generator. We tested the full range of Airgami sizes with multiple test subjects for each size following the procedures specified by OSHA. All test subjects achieved excellent fit factors.
